‘Crackhouse’ Score
There was a breakfast-themed thread in one of the many Thailand and Bangkok Facebook groups I’m in.
So we set out to find Crackhouse. (There are so many unfortunately named eateries in Bangkok. Totally mystifying.)
If I’d Googled harder before we headed out, it would have been a much less frustrating excursion.
Crackhouse is located at theCommons Saladaeng; it’s not a freestanding spot. (theCommons is a hip collective of food stalls and shops; there’s another one in the Thonglor neighborhood.)
In hunting for Crackhouse, we went down a wrong street, shimmied by cars parked in a garage and went up some very sketchy looking stairs.
I said to an older Thai man, “We’re looking for Crackhouse.” He replied, “No.”
Fair enough.
Once we found it, I got the signature CrackGriddle. Tom got the S.E.C., sausage, egg and cheese. MASSIVE portions.
We also had fries, fresh-squeezed OJ and I had an iced coffee. All tasted great.
Everything, however, was pretty pricey by Bangkok standards. Definitely not a daily breakfast option.
I had more pics but I forgot to reset some camera settings so they were out of focus. Boo!
