Trekking in Shan State, Myanmar

These images are from year ago, as we were trekking in Shan State, Myanmar. A 10-to-12 kilometer trek that turned into a 22km by accident.

(Our hired guide opted to try out a new trail with a flip-flopped-fleet-footed local village guide.)

I like the batch of photos from this day the best of the thousands of photos I took in 2020.

Maybe it is remembering the excited feeling of being only 10 or so days into as long as 12 months of traveling.
